Artists Inspiration & Process:
This piece brings a singular, intense moment of nature into focus, contrasting the rich, velvety crimson of a geranium cluster against a dreamy backdrop of soft botanical silhouettes. The sharp detail of the foreground petals pushes forward from the misty, teal-toned leaves behind it, creating a deep sense of atmosphere and layered space. It captures the quiet tension between the vivid reality of the present bloom and the fading, memory-like shadows of the surrounding garden.
