Artists Inspiration & Process:
A painting that feels earthy, vibrant and full life - and a focal point for sure and one of my personal favourites.
It reminds me of my late father who loved to garden and had a remarkable ability to grow the most spectacular flowers.
The colours also feel deeply connected to my roots. Those warm, rusty red tones take me back to the rich red soil of Africa where I grew up - something I still feel a deep longing for.
In many ways this paintings holds both memory and place for me.
