Artists Inspiration & Process:
This captivating landscape painting beautifully balances the sprawling, serene expanses of the Isle of Harris with the delicate details of coastal flora. In the immediate foreground, a cluster of architectural, vibrant blue wild thistles - resembling native Sea Holly - reaches upward. Their slender, twisting sage-green stems and jagged leaves create a dynamic frame that grounds the viewer on the shore.
