Artists Inspiration & Process:
Personal growth that happens inwardly, without spectacle. With this painting my focus was centred around emotions rather than flowers: feelings of safety, of being held and surrounded, vulnerability without fear, openness that is gentle through emotional closeness. In essence this piece is a study of fragility as value, not weakness. Stillness that feels inhabited. Each petal, colour and brush stroke points to a feeling that sometimes we cannot explain. A memory, a connection. Nature is profoundly powerful in conveying what we feel but can’t point to. We all slowly bloom, often quietly.
