Artists Inspiration & Process:

The allure of a dying rose lies in its ability to reflect the nuanced emotions of surrender and acceptance. My inspiration was to portray the delicate dance between strength and vulnerability and the beauty woven into every stage of existence. As with all my paintings, I started by creating the soft bokeh style background first. I worked in layers while painting the roses, returning to add further glazes to enhance and highlight their delicacy and fading vibrancy.

Roses, with their delicate petals and brilliant hues, are often associated with love and passion. In traditional art, roses can evoke feelings of passion and beauty, reflecting the intensity of love or serving as a metaphor for the fleeting aspect of life.
