Artists Inspiration & Process:
An expressive celebration of tulips! Loosely gathered blooms unfold in shades of coral, peach, blush, mauve and plum, their gestural petals brought to life against an atmospheric blue-green ground. Rather than capturing a perfect arrangement, the paintings embraces spontaneity - the movement of petals, the looseness of stems and the unexpected spaces bewteen each bloom - I loved the addition of oil stcks in this piece! At it’s heart, the work is about those moments when beauty gathers around us; found in colour, nature, connection and the simple pleasure of being present.
